Basketball Recap: Lakewood Presbyterian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Zoeh Kinson and Maya Kinson

Lakewood Presbyterian lost against Trinity Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lakewood Presbyterian Knights fell to the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors 40-35. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Maya Kinson and Zoeh Kinson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Maya posted nine points along with six steals and five boards, while Zoeh had 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. Maya has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

Cenzie Pyeatt was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Braylie Anderson, who put up nine points.

Lakewood Presbyterian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Lakewood Presbyterian has already played their next match, a 41-27 victory against Faith Lutheran on the 21st. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 40-38 win against Lakewood Presbyterian on the 24th.
