Even though the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the North Cross Raiders still came out on top. North Cross snuck past Virginia Episcopal School with a 60-56 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Cross also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
North Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaziel Hart, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hart has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antonio Mack, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
North Cross' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
North Cross will head out on the road to take on Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Benedictine at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Benedictine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
