The Hobgood Charter Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Northside - Pinetown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hobgood Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-14 victory over Weldon. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Armanti Alston was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1).
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hobgood Charter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Hobgood Charter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brayden Blakley and Alston. Alston also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Hobgood Charter is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Northside - Pinetown strolled into their game two weeks ago with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand Jones a 64-0 shutout. The Panthers pushed the score to 57-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans had no chance of recovering from.
Northside - Pinetown's win came from a few key players Hobgood Charter will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sincere Columbus, who rushed for 41 yards and two scores. He has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Anthony West also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Northside - Pinetown, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of West, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Hobgood Charter's record now sits at 4-5. As for Northside - Pinetown, their record is now 10-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Hobgood Charter has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 266.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Northside - Pinetown struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 264.2 rushing yards.
