Kado Brown and Jordan Tye provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Oxnard. The connection was good for 83 yards, the longest such play in Pacific View this season.
Camarillo extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hueneme, 70-19. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Sylas Mottly was the best wideout in the league this week as the Vikings lost to Camarillo. Mottly racked up four receptions for 133 yards. Kendrick Surrell helped Hueneme's passing attack out by catching five balls for 63 yards.
Adam Espinosa was the most productive running back in Pacific View this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 176 yards as the Yellowjackets lost to Dennis Riedmiller's team. Teammate Andrew Valenzuela added to the ground attack by rushing for 146 yards.
Nick Davis put up the best numbers through the air as Pacifica topped Channel Islands. He finished with 14 completions for 265 yards and five touchdowns. Davis' favorite target this week was Taraun Nixon, who caught five passes for 110 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Adan Salas of Brett Davis' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2202. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. On the ground, Oxnard's Espinosa has rushed for 1042 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Corbin Covey. The Camarillo star has 82 catches for 793 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Camarillo takes on second place Pacifica. The Scorpions topped the Vikings last week, while the Tritons beat the Raiders.
Going into this week's game against Pacifica, Camarillo's Travis Valdez needs 61 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 14 touchdowns this year, Valdez has thrown for 1939 yards with three interceptions.
There should be lots of points scored when the Scorpions and Donnie Rea's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Camarillo comes in having scored 253 this season, while the Tritons have scored 235. The Scorpions scored 70 points last week as they bested Hueneme.
The Vikings made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,933 from 13,107. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 70-19 victory over Hueneme last week.
