The Cross Schools Stingrays are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Tuscola Mountaineers at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Cross Schools focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
Cross Schools has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Andrew Jackson Academy as Cross Schools made off with a 54-34 win.
Cross Schools found their leader in underclassman Sydney Hollings, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Genesis Wilson, who scored four points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tuscola might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting T.C. Roberson an easy 57-37 win. Tuscola has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cross Schools' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Tuscola, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
