Elder dropped their record down to 11-9 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 4-0 to the Badin Rams. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Badin, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.

For Badin's part, the result came thanks to Caleb Driessen's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. Driessen has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Badin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Vangen, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Cade Cummins was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elder will venture away from home to face off against Lakota East at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Badin, they will head out to challenge Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
