Softball Recap: Seymour's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Seymour barely beat Carter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Green Hornets 19-6 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Baylee Lawson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Landry Terry was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Seymour kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Carter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Seymour will face off against Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carter, they will square off against Northview Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
