The Westhope/Newburg Sioux posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Dunseith out 57-54. The victory was nothing new for Westhope/Newburg as they're now sitting on three straight.
Westhope/Newburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashley Tabarez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tabarez scored 15 or more points. Kimberly Tabarez was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Westhope/Newburg's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Dunseith, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
