North Star had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Idaho City Wildcats with a sharp 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Teague Fox made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Jace Irwin was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cole Young, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
North Star pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Idaho City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
