Claremore will challenge Pryor on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Claremore are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Pryor are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Claremore ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Thursday. They skirted past Skiatook 17-14. Junior Jace Hightower and junior Dylan Kedzior were among the main playmakers for Claremore as the former picked up 203 yards on the ground and the latter caught passes for 112 yards and picked up 39 yards on the ground. This marked the 3rd matchup in which Hightower has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, we expected Pryor to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Collinsville, and they did. Pryor found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-41 punch to the gut against Collinsville. Pryor were down by 13-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Claremore's victory lifted them to 5-3 while Pryor's defeat dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Claremore's success rolls on or if Pryor are able to steal their positive momentum.
