In what's become a running theme this season, the Salome Frogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Mayer 56-9 at home. The win was familiar territory for Salome who now have 12 in a row.
Salome was led to victory by Myranda Cruz and Kaniece Thomas. Cruz scored 14 points along with three steals, while Thomas scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Thomas is crushing the block category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Grecia Leon, who scored five points along with six assists and three steals.
Salome is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Mayer, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14-1.
Salome won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. San Pasqual Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Mayer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
