The Pawnee Black Bears will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Glencoe Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Pawnee will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pawnee ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They escaped with a win against Pawhuska by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52.
Meanwhile, Glencoe had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down South Coffeyville 47-30 on Saturday.
Pawnee pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Glencoe, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11.
Everything came up roses for Pawnee against the Panthers when the teams last played on Monday as the team secured a 63-27 win. Will Pawnee repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
