West Forsyth (Cumming, Ga.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 38-3 victory over North Forsyth (Cumming, Ga.) on Saturday.
The Wolverines were up 24-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
A.J. Erdely to
Ty Anderson in the first quarter.
West Forsyth expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. WF scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Mohamed Camara.
Vince Sciorrotta played well for the Raiders. The senior kicked one field goal.
The Wolverines' most effective player was Erdely. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
Coming into the game West Forsyth had allowed 20.3 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding North Forsyth well below its season average of 16.7 points scored per game.
A 38-0 West Forsyth victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
North Forsyth (3-4) will play a AAAAAA Region 6 game against Centennial next week, while West Forsyth (7-0) will take on Chattahoochee also in a AAAAAA Region 6 game.
