The Screven County Gamecocks will venture away from home to take on the Claxton Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Screven County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Screven County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Metter by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Gamecocks have won by exactly two goals.

Mica Shipes and Kaylin Long scored both of Screven County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Claxton played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. Everything went their way against McIntosh County Academy as Claxton made off with a 10-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory made it two in a row for Screven County and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Claxton, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Screven County came up short against Claxton when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 8-6. Can Screven County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
