There's no place like home for The Meadows School Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past Sports Leadership & Management with a 58-53 victory on Wednesday. For The Meadows School, this counts as revenge for the 55-53 defeat Sports Leadership & Management walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
The Meadows School was led to victory by Jeremiah Toby and Cyrus Hutchison. Toby scored 20 points, while Hutchison scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Williams Quinn, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andre Cade, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Cade's 17th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kali Clemons, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
The Meadows School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Meadows School will challenge Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
