The Quaker Valley Quakers will challenge the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Quaker Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.3 runs per game this season.
Quaker Valley barely beat Freedom Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Quaker Valley blew past Freedom Area 14-8 on Wednesday. The Quakers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Finamore made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Quaker Valley got a massive performance out of Nolan Wagoner, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Wagoner has posted since back in April of 2024. Oscar Roig was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.
Quaker Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Keystone Oaks came up short against Seton LaSalle on Tuesday, falling 10-1. The loss put an end to the Golden Eagles' undefeated start to the season.
Having lost for the first time this season, Keystone Oaks fell to 2-1. As for Quaker Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Quaker Valley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Keystone Oaks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Quaker Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Keystone Oaks when the teams last played back in May of 2015, sneaking past 3-2. Does Quaker Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Keystone Oaks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
