Flintridge Sacred Heart hasn't had much luck against Bishop Alemany recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tologs will face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Flintridge Sacred Heart's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Immaculate Heart 23-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tologs.
Ruby Daniels looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lesley Milton, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Reyes-Chacon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Flintridge Sacred Heart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Bishop Alemany got the win against Marymount on Monday by a conclusive 13-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Sailors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Kayla Toledo looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Naydeen Vallejo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. Eva Contreras was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bishop Alemany pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, their record now sits at 14-4-1.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Flintridge Sacred Heart hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .446. However, it's not like Bishop Alemany struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
