The Greely Rangers will take on the Freeport Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Greely is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Greely took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Yarmouth a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Keeler Vogt made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Vogt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Greely let Kyle Soule and Ben Kyles run wild. Soule went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Kyles went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Kyles has posted since back in April. Wyatt Soucie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Greely always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Freeport's offense. They lost 7-0 to Greely on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Greely, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Greely took their win against Freeport in their previous matchup on Saturday by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
