After a string of five wins, Lipan's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Poolville Monarchs by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since March 5th.

Lipan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Brayden Harrison was another, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Lipan's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 18-6. As for Poolville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Lipan will welcome Crawford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. Poolville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
