The East Forsyth Eagles will challenge the Lake Norman Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth will be strutting in after a win while Lake Norman will be coming in after a defeat.
East Forsyth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-0 victory over Purnell Swett. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

East Forsyth's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JD Fulp, who threw for 169 yards and four TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes. What's more, Fulp racked up 166.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikah Fuller, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.
East Forsyth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They are 6-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Christian Cepeda, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lake Norman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell just short of Mooresville by a score of 23-21.
East Forsyth will have to contain Jayden Nordtveit as he made an impact in Lake Norman's last game. He rushed for 131 yards and one score. Noah Jacobsen also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Lake Norman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jeremy Mitchell. Lake Norman got some further help from Jaylen Glover: he made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
East Forsyth has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average over those games. As for Lake Norman, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. East Forsyth has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 197.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lake Norman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 148 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
