Lincoln moved up to 413 from 483 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Macomb Area - Bronze. The Abes climbed the ranks as a result of a 33-10 win over Lamphere.
Clintondale extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating East Detroit, 41-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Dragons.
Clawson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ty Sparks threw for 134 and two touchdowns and Marquian Johnson had 71 yards receiving. On the ground Steven Klein chipped in eight yards. Klein helped Clawson's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 28 yards.
Clawson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sparks has thrown for 983 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 20 catches for 416 yards. Klein leads the league in rushing with 476 yards.
A big matchup in Macomb Area - Bronze this week will be when Lincoln takes on the Trojans. As it stands, Mike Bainbridge's team is in second, while Clawson is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Abes and Jim Sparks's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Lincoln comes in having scored 62 this season, while the Trojans have scored 190. The Abes scored 33 points last week as they defeated the Rams.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Clintondale takes on Mt. Clemens. Dave Schindler's team has allowed 87 points this season, while the Battling Bathers have given up 76. The Dragons allowed 7 points last week as they beat the Shamrocks.
Clintondale took down East Detroit 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
