The Stafford Trojans's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Kinsley by a score of 42-30. For Stafford, this counts as revenge for the 52-39 loss Kinsley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2021.
Stafford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Kerschenske, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Pedro Berenguel, who scored nine points.
The win got Stafford back to even at 5-5. As for Kinsley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Stafford won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Barber at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Kinsley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cunningham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cunningham presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kinsley in Kansas (Cunningham is ranked 104th, while Kinsley is ranked 330th).
