On Saturday, The Thacher Toads faced the Cate Rams in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Thacher was the victim of a rough 33-8 defeat at the hands of Cate. Having soared to a lofty 50 points in the game before, Thacher couldn't push the score so high this time.
Among those leading the charge was Quinn Pullen, who threw for 95 yards and three touchdowns.
Thacher now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Cate, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.
Thacher does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cate will head out on the road to face off against Flintridge Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Flintridge Prep is ranked fourth, while Cate is ranked ninth).
