They had to suffer through a rough 45-14 loss at the hands of Mobile Christian. Thomasville has struggled against Mobile Christian recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Thomasville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Decorian Cowan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Mobile Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jason Todd led the charge by rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. PJ Brown also helped out as he racked up 114 rushing yards.
Thomasville's loss dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Mobile Christian, their win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomasville will take on Clarke County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarke County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Thomasville is ranked 80th). Mobile Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Beulah at 7:00 p.m. on November 11th.
