Baseball Recap: Fairfax's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Fairfax had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Sierra Linda Bulldogs on Monday as Fairfax made off with a 20-3 win. The Stampede's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Daniel Alaniz was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Balderas, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fairfax always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Fairfax's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Sierra Linda, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Fairfax will host Metro Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sierra Linda, they will take on La Joya Community at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. La Joya Community will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sierra Linda surely won't give up without a fight.
