Softball Recap: Rouse Has No Trouble Against Lockhart

There's no place like home for Rouse, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Lockhart Lions on Wednesday as Rouse made off with a 13-2 win. The match marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season.

Rouse got a massive performance out of Madilynn George, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciana Arguijo, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

George wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Rouse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. Rouse is undefeated (5-0) when they post 11 or more hits.

Rouse has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. Lockhart has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rouse is set to square off against their familiar foe Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lockhart will take on rival Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
