The Morristown Yellow Jackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Greenwood Christian Academy, posting a 71-39 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Morristown has managed all season.
Leading Morristown to victory were Jayla Keithley and Emma Nelson. Keithley scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Nelson scored 18 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Nelson scored 15 or more points. DDanika Rutledge was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three blocks.
Morristown has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morristown won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Trinity Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
