Tri-Cities Christian can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-32 win at home. With Tri-Cities Christian ahead 41-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Tri-Cities Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michaela Dixon led the charge by scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Dixon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Greene, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Happy Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They escaped with a win against Johnson County by the margin of a single free throw, 63-62. The win was a breath of fresh air for Happy Valley as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Tri-Cities Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Happy Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
Tri-Cities Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over the Warriors when the teams last played back in January, winning 50-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tri-Cities Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
