AA Region 4 Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Tray Wilson Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Central got the W thanks in part to Tray Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Wilson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Chesterfield on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wilson saw the Golden Rams), he picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Cheraw Gets a Boost from Mcclendon in 28-0 Victory
Cheraw picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cam McClendon. North Central had no answer to McClendon as he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. McClendon is becoming a predictor of Cheraw's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
If the past is any indication, McClendon could be in store for another big game when he takes on Buford on Thursday. When McClendon last faced the Yellow Jackets back in October of 2023, he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
