Skyview has gone 8-2 against Vallivue recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Skyview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Tuesday, Skyview got the win against Nampa by a conclusive 16-3. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Anthony Barker looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ledger Downs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevan Plew, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Skyview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Vallivue made easy work of Emmett on Tuesday and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Baren Vadapalli made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Vadapalli was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Carson Cyganik was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Vallivue's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-11 when he doesn't). Banks Sedillos was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Vallivue now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Skyview, their record now sits at 15-3.
Skyview came out on top in a nail-biter against Vallivue when the teams last played on April 7th, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
