The Crowley County Chargers will head out to challenge the Fowler Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crowley County comes in on five and Fowler on four.
On Friday, Crowley County was fully in charge, breezing past Sangre de Cristo 48-6. Considering the Chargers have won five contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Crowley County found their leader in freshman Levi Gibson, who rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one TD. The Chargers are 4-1 when Gibson posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Meanwhile, while Fowler put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Walsenburg. The Grizzlies simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 60-0. That looming 60-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Grizzlies yet this season.
Fowler's win came from a few key players Crowley County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brock True, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, and also threw for seven yards and one touchdown. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Daniel Adams, who rushed for 106 yards and one TD.
Fowler was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 295 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
Fowler didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Hilario Alvarez, Titus Ballard, and Taten Phillips picked up one apiece. Phillips got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Crowley County's record now sits at 5-3. As for Fowler, their record is now an identical 5-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Crowley County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 221 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Fowler struggles in that department as they've been averaging 247.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Crowley County lost to Fowler on the road by a decisive 39-22 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of True, who rushed for 217 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Now that the Chargers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
