The Blackhawk Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 79-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaver. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), Blackhawk still had to take the loss.
Beaver was led to victory by Nick Krzeczowski and Brady Mayo. Krzeczowski almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Mayo scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krzeczowski has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Butler, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Blackhawk has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Beaver, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ambridge the next time they take the court. Blackhawk will host the Bridgers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
