The Jackson Preparatory & Early College Falcons kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by Vandercook Lake 69-32.
Jackson Preparatory & Early College's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Payne , who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Mishaw, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Vandercook Lake can attribute much of their success to Jonathon Morgan, who scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Hunter Fletcher, who scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds.
Jackson Preparatory & Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Vandercook Lake, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Jackson Preparatory & Early College will look to defend their home court on Friday against Factoryville Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for Vandercook Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Springport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
