Turtle Lake won the last time they faced Frederic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lakers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Vikings 3-2.

Turtle Lake was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 15-9.

Ava Mau paced Turtle Lake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mau got some help from Lacey Popenhagen and her 37 assists.

Turtle Lake's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Frederic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Turtle Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Thorp on the 13th. As for Frederic, they will square off against Webster at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
