Addison Kota was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Kota was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.
In other batting news, Kaela VanNote made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Those hits were her first of the season. Biz John was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
