Robinson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Connally Cadets at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Robinson suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against China Spring, falling 50-18. Robinson has not had much luck with China Spring recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Connally unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 67-28 loss at the hands of La Vega. While losing is never fun, Connally can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while La Vega is ranked 12th).
Robinson's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 10-16. As for Connally, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9.
Robinson lost to Connally on the road by a decisive 46-28 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Robinson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
