The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Empire 75-11 on the road. That looming 75-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy yet this season.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Tabitha Orr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Sedona Dietrich, who scored 13 points.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Empire, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Catalina at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Catalina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is ranked 92nd). As for Empire, they will head out on the road to face off against Palo Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Palo Verde comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
