Clover Park will challenge River Ridge on the road at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Clover Park strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 33.166666666666666666666666667 points per game.
Things haven't been easy for Clover Park, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They lost to Orting by a decisive 28-47 margin. Clover Park were down by 14-47 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Evergreen two weeks ago, River Ridge came back down to earth. It was close but no cigar for River Ridge as they fell 20-23 to Eatonville last Friday. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. If River Ridge want to win, River Ridge will need to focus on stopping Clover Park's senior Jamison Earle, who caught passes for 108 yards and 1 touchdown, and junior Daniel Salanoa, who picked up 67 yards on the ground and accumulated 112 passing yards. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
