After flying high against the John F. Kennedy Rockets on Monday, the Pleasanton Eagles came back down to earth. Pleasanton fell 54-46 to Lytle on Tuesday. Pleasanton has struggled against Lytle recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Calyssa Sevier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lytle, scoring 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Sevier's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Katara Whitfield was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Pleasanton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lytle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Pleasanton will head out on the road to face off against Marion at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Marion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday. As for Lytle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Devine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine and Lytle are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
