 Meanwhile, Clear Creek made easy work of Front Range Christian  last Thursday and carried off  a  48-22 win. With the Golddiggers ahead  40-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
 This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Nathan Guerrero and  Merrell Harvey. Guerrero rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown while  Harvey rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Guerrero has posted since back in October of 2023.
 Clear Creek was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 423  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Clear Creek's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was  Alex Shriner with  two.
 Akron's victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Clear Creek, their record now sits at 7-2.
