The Lake Roosevelt Raiders fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Tonasket 34-14. The result was nothing new for Lake Roosevelt, who have now won three matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Lake Roosevelt's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terrell Bush, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Bush really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Ivan Alejandre got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lake Roosevelt now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Tonasket, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Roosevelt is on the road again on Friday and play against Northwest Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Northwest Christian School is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Tonasket, they will head out on the road to face off against Colfax at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Colfax is ranked 258th, while Tonasket is ranked 255th).
