Martin Castillo Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Odem's Martin Castillo, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Castillo rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102) per game. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards.
Odem pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Castillo and Odem will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Banquete at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

George West was led to victory by Teagan Collins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Collins threw for 215 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
The win was the fifth in a row for George West, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Collins' next game is against Santa Rosa on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
