The Chapel Hill Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-55 victory over Banneker. The win was some much needed relief for Chapel Hill as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Emahni Chambliss continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 42 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Chapel Hill's points. Another player making a difference was Bryale Thomas, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds and three blocks.
Chapel Hill's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17. As for Banneker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Chapel Hill is on the road again on Friday and plays the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Mays presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Georgia (the Raiders are ranked 162nd, while the Panthers are ranked 356th). As for Banneker, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lions at 6:00 p.m.
