Baseball Recap: North Hills Christian Has No Trouble Against Greater Vision Academy

North Hills Christian won the last time they faced Greater Vision Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The North Hills Christian Eagles blew past the Greater Vision Academy Lions 16-6. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Dusty Morgan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Colton Krieg was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracin Craig, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

North Hills Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Hills Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Greater Vision Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hills Christian will face off against Grace Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Hills Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greater Vision Academy, they will challenge Union Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Greater Vision Academy has given up an average of 17.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
