This season hasn't been kind to the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were dealt a 53-22 loss at the hands of Ninilchik on Thursday. Cook Inlet Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ninilchik apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Riley Tucker, who scored 21 points. Addi McCorison was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Cook Inlet Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ninilchik, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Glennallen the next time they take the court. Ninilchik will host Glennallen at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024, while Cook Inlet Academy will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
