The Seymour Eagles will challenge the Carter Green Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Seymour came out on top against Nashville Christian on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. Seymour walked away with an 11-7 win over Nashville Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Seymour.
Elijah Miller was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season. Reece Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Carter, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past Oneida 16-6 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Green Hornets in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.
Carter let Parker Allis and Chandler Bowman run wild. Allis got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Bowman went 2-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Bowman has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Evans, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Carter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oneida only managed six.

Carter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seymour hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. It's a different story for Carter, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Seymour's hitters?
