Basketball Recap: Overbrook Gets the Win

Overbrook won the last time they faced Audenried and things went their way on Tuesday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Overbrook Panthers made off with a 60-59 win over Audenried. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Overbrook was led to victory by Jalen Holmes and Omar Warring. Holmes dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards, while Warring dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Warring is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kalief Armstrong, who posted ten points.

The victory got Overbrook back to even at 3-3. As for Audenried, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overbrook will take on Wings Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Overbrook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. As for Audenried, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Springside Chestnut Hill Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Audenried likes a good challenge.
