Meanwhile, Hobgood Charter pushed their score all the way to 75 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 88-75 defeat to Community Christian. Hobgood Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Hudson Roberson, who scored 36 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jameson Moore, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Community Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Hobgood Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
