Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is UR Academy's Third in Last Four Outings

Kingdom Leadership Academy came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against UR Academy, but Jordan Miller wouldn't allow it. The UR Academy Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kingdom Leadership Academy Chargers on Friday, sneaking past 49-46 thanks in part to Miller, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Another player making a difference was Jordan Solomon, who posted five points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

UR Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for Kingdom Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UR Academy will face off against The Fletcher School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kingdom Leadership Academy, they will square off against Greater Cabarrus S at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
