The Edison Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Franklin 89-19 at home. The victory was nothing new for Edison as they're now sitting on six straight.
Edison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damarcus Cobb Jr, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 assists. That's the first time this season that Cobb Jr posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was David White ll, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Edison is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Franklin, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-18.
Edison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Downey at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Reuben Lewis and Terrell Tek. Franklin on the road again on Monday and play against Stagg at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
